The creative engineering was probably a project that took the most thought from the group. We had to analyze the problems of the world and make something in a lower scale that could benefit people or the environment. My group and I brainstormed for a while and took a lot of problems into consideration. We thought about hunger, drought in California, and even obesity in America. After a lot of debate and arguing we decided on the problem of the drought in California at the moment and a way we can change it. We did some research on ways that the problem can be solved. We narrowed it down to things that we could build to scale. In the end we agreed and made a decision to build a fog screen. We looked at designs and got set and learned about all the materials we need to make the fog screen. we got a scale factor and started building. The design was a net that could essentially catch the water vapor in fog and have it catch in the net like surface. Once enough water was collected on the net it would drip down into a place that would store the water until someone that maintained it came along and collected the water. https://www.google.com/search?q=fog+sc_reen&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS694US694&espv=2&biw=1280&bih=619&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi6q-_664rNAhVPRVIKHUpmD88Q_AUICCgD#tbm=isch&q=fog+screen+that+catches+water&imgrc=Ff09LPPIyfwT5M%3A
I think that this project went very well. We built a successful to scale model of a fog screen and and found out about problems in the US. I think that if we can implement these In the bay area then we can produce much needed water for citizens of California. I think that I worked very well with my group and we were successful in our goals.
